We stopped into the New York Botanical Garden Annual Orchid Dinner Tuesday at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel to take in breathtaking tables in an expansive ballroom.  With "chandeliers" as the theme each table was tricked out with creative details, and many orchids which lit up the room.

IFDA board member and student liaison (right) Catarine Wright with new IFDA NY member James Rixner posing with his team in front of his table, which was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Daum Haviland provided gorgeous plates, silver and glassware for this table decorated by David Salvatore and Andrew Prince, jewelry designer.
We caught up with Hearst's Kate Kelly Smith posing in front of a rich, layered table decorated by interior designer Rollins Ingrams with Sandersen fabric.

sweeping views of the room and a glimpse of fellow IFDA board member Wendy Silverstein
Catching up with talented
interior designer Byron Jaymes.
one of our personal favorites, all in purple and designed by Byron Jaymes utilizing Kim Seybert's tabletop collections.

We loved the red and crystals stylized by
Hutton Wilkinson and Brett Leemkuil
