A Fantastic Evening Set In The Toney Fisher & Paykel Showroom To Hear And See Entertaining Trends

How We Entertain Today:
a lively crowd turned out last Thursday, June 9 for this fantastic event, a trend talk by HFN magazine's Tabletop Editor Allison Zisko hosted in the Fisher & Paykel showroom with media sponsor Aspire Magazine on hand.  Tabletop and flower designs showing current trends created by design duo Susan Young and Tamara Stephenson of home textile company, Root Cellar Designs.  The two tables showed two distinctly different decorative looks--a colorful, whimsical nature inspired table and a sleek, serene and masculine design.  Please read Aspire Magazine's coverage of the evening.  Allison shared current trends from showing nature-inspired decor to simple tabletop wares to express our less formal way of entertaining in the home today.  With the kitchen continuing to be the epi-center of the home, people are entertaining in creative yet informal manners mixing plate and cup patterns and utilizing less rules and more creativity.  This talk came just in time for those of us who may be planning a summer soiree!

please note:
a special, warm thank you to Paula Cecere Smith of Fisher & Paykel showroom for
hosting us in this gorgeous, newly opened kitchen entertaining center in the
A&D Building in New York City.
